A new addition to Vava Objects Clam Collection.
The Clam shape echoes in the base, taken apart and reassembled. The table top speaks the same language, but translates into visible joints, giving the table its character and rhythm. As always, the exposed process allows the making to become part of the object. Rather than concealing the inserts, the table is built around them.
A broken form, deconstructed and reconstructed into something undeniably whole.
The uncoloured fiberglass has a slightly translucent quality that interacts with light, giving the surface its characteristic depth. Variations in colour, surface and patina are inherent to the process, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. The surface is finished with wax and standard coat for a subtle satin lustre, or can be produced with a UV-protective finish for outdoor use.
